Winning best painting overall…

…in the Gallery M City of Marion community exhibition, and then winning people’s choice award, and selling this work during the exhibition was a highlight for 2024.

Commissions

I managed to acquire myself alot of commissions during 2024, mainly portraits, some pets and a few florals. I wasn’t able to complete them all so those have been moved to my 2025 list and I’ll try and finish them all before I open my commissions up again.

Below is a commissioned flower painting…well it’s not exactly a flower but a succulent frond in a jar, painted in acrylics on board. A larger work, 60x75cm.

little jar of love…

I painted the biggest ever abstract floral painting that I’ve ever done…

- a commission for a hotel/bistro in Pt Adelaide. There’s another one on the way which won’t be completed until Feb 2025. This project inspired me to take up abstract painting, and that’s to be my focus for 2025.

biggest ever abstract floral painting - 200x150cm

I created a series of portraits for the salon Jorrells.

Park dogs:

as part of Sala 2024 I took part in a group exhibition ‘Local” with 4 artists friends. For this exhibition we created a body of work that represented something local, and for my part I painted Park Dogs, the dogs I meet at the park and down at the beach.
