Impressionism

Join me for a term of exploring Impressionism, a painting style characterized by visible brush strokes, unconventional composition and a strong focus on capturing the light and atmosphere of everyday life.

This term we will explore the old masters painting techniques, starting with landscapes and then moving into interiors and portraits, painting in the impressionist style. You will have the option to paint a larger work during the term.

Unlock the artist within and develop a personal artistic style that truly reflects you. This detailed, 4 week short course is designed for beginners and experienced artists alike who want to develop their personal painting style. Through a series of studies and tasks, focussing on painting techniques, process and methods, you’ll gradually discover what works for you and what you enjoy as you uncover ways to make art that’s authentically yours.

Materials are supplied, so just bring your curiosity and willingness to play.

Discover the joy of expressive acrylic painting in this 3 hr workshop. Suitable for beginners and experienced painters, and anyone who wants to break away from tight, controlled painting and develop a looser, more intuitive approach to painting with acrylics. .

What’s included: All materials supplied including paints, surfaces to paint on, brushes, pallets, mediums and more. Step by step demonstrations, showing how to get great results using acrylic paint.

Vintage Objects:

when - starting August 26, September 2nd, 9th, 16th

time - 6:30 - 9pm.

Where - 5 Ravine Street, Marino, 5049 South Australia

Paint a vintage object or two of your choice in a contemporary style. This could be anything from classic cars to retro appliances, like a fridge, kettle or even something like sunglasses or bathing suit. Cat will guide you through the process over the course of 4 weeks.
